Description: Cartoon portrays the “Agency for the Lincoln Whiskeropherous” with a bust of a bearded Lincoln on a table with hatboxes labeled “Lincoln Whiskers” on the table and beneath it. Prior to his election as President in November 1860, Mr. Lincoln had been smooth-shaven. He grew a beard before he left Springfield for Washington in February 1861. The “Delusive Druggist” proclaims: “There’s ‘is heffigy in wax, sir, wiskers and all. Try one of them pots,a nd in three weeks you’ll be as ‘airy and ‘ansom as ‘im.”
