Description: Four presidential candidates (Breckinridge, Bell, Lincoln and Douglas) approached seated woman with broom. On the wall there is a picture of the “White House” which looks more like the Capitol. Above it are the words “25000 Dollars a Year. Uncle Sam introduces the candidates by saying: “Well, gentlemen, Miss Columbia will think over your proposals, and she’ll give you an answer next November. I have no doubt your intentions are honorable and your affections disinterested. Live in hope, gentlemen.”
